"Rose took me to a remote Scottish cottage for a week in October and gave me drawing and painting lessons…it was wonderful, very inspiring and liberating. It has re-ignited a passion for observational drawing. Also, I painted in oils for the first time and I am hooked….Rose is a very gentle and inspiring teacher"

Beginners painting

Rose believes there is a painter in all of us and a ruddy good one too. By the end of this class you will have learnt about paints and colours, types of brushes and techniques and created a whole oil painting of your own. Rose encourages you to bring along your own subject matter and ideas about style.

Rose is a professional painter. She studied at the Royal Drawing School and Edinburgh College of Art and has had several solo shows. She loves introducing beginners to painting as it is so exciting to help people do something for the first time. Her drawing classes make a wonderful gift for a friend or loved one or even an artistic activity for a hen party!

Cost: £55 for a 4 - 5 hour class

Location: The Owl Barn Studios, The Tallet, Calmsden, Gloucestershire GL7 5ET
