The workshop will focus on developing skills and applying techniques allowing you to grow in confidence and start to develop your own style.The workshop will start with a colour mixing demonstration allowing you to become familiar with the paint and different effects that can be created. Then you'll learn how simple brush strokes can be used to create leaves, flowers and stems and how these can be ranged to create florals
*You will be given a complete set of materials which you can take away after class, including guide sheets, paper, brushes and a set of watercolours.
* We'll start with colour theory, colour mixing and exercises to practice making simple shapes and brush strokes.
* You'll then work on a final piece, sketching and painting from life, with plenty of hands on guidance and encouragement from the tutor. By the end of the workshop you'll be well on your way to developing your own unique watercolour style.
PAPER CUTTING WORKSHOP
Saturday 15th September
10am - 1pm
Join us for a morning of Paper Cutting fun!
In this session you will design and make a paper cut piece that you can take home and hang on your wall, or give to a friend as a present.
There will be several designs to choose from along with materials provided on the day.
All equipment and materials will be provided.
introduction to printmaking skills on fabric

Learning and exploring a range of simple printing techniques. The morning will be spent learning about lino and potato printing. In the afternoon we will do screen printing on fabric (with paper stencils). We will explore methods of doing multiple colour-ways and creating repeat patterns. You will come away with your own hand-printed fabric to make a cushion. Our fabric printing classes are in a friendly environment, and will leave you with the expertise you need to get going.

INTERMEDIATE CLASS FOR PRINTMAKING SKILLS ON FABRIC

10am - 4pm
This is for those who have come to a Simple Printmaking workshop and seek to develop your printmaking skills further.
Covering potato printing, lino printing and screen printing (with paper stencils). Develop your skills and explore the possibilities of repeat patterns and multiple colour-ways to create more ambitious textile designs. It's up to you whether you would like to play with all three techniques throughout the day, or focus on a more ambitious project using one technique. You can screen print all day long! You will come away with your own hand-printed fabric to make a cushion.
We have a busy schedule of charities and community groups using The Bothy on a weekly basis including Signpost, The Independence Trust, and Ronan's Trust . Recovery Support Group
Every Wednesday 1.30 - 3.30pm and Thursday 11.15am - 1.15pm
A friendly and relaxed group for people affected by alcohol or drug use or any other addictive behavior. Meet other people going through similar situations, offer and receive support and look at solutions within the community.

Providing a safe and supportive space in which people can be their selves and share their experiences. Dulcie and Lisa will encourage and support you by providing you with some simple tools to manage your state and give you a sense of being able to cope with life.
